Connecting Readers
If there is one thing I want people to take away from my story, it is this: You are not alone.
Life has taken me on a journey beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I have known the deepest love and the deepest heartbreak. I have stood in hospital rooms where time seemed to freeze, where the weight of fear threatened to break me. I have prayed desperate prayers and lived through seasons where hope felt distant. And yet, Here I am.
About
Andrea Richmond
Andrea Richmond is a mother who knows, firsthand, the profound transformation that occurs when you hear the words no parent should ever have to hear: “Your child has cancer.” As a mother of three daughters, two of whom were diagnosed with leukemia just 18 months apart, Andrea’s journey has been one of unimaginable heartbreak, resilience, and ultimately, hope.
Growing up in Erie, Pennsylvania, Andrea’s life took her through various seasons—earning a degree in Biology, raising a family with her husband Jeff, and becoming a storyteller with a purpose. But it was in the depths of her daughters’ diagnoses that she found her true calling: to support, uplift, and stand beside other mothers facing the same unthinkable journey.
Andrea’s faith, compassion, and unshakable commitment to community are the foundations of her work. She is the author of Love Beyond Scope, a deeply personal book that captures her journey from devastation to strength. She also founded the Courage Bear Project, a mission-driven initiative to provide comfort to children battling cancer.
